What it does
Wheel of Names draws a colourful wheel from your list of entries and spins it with realistic easing. The pointer at the right of the wheel marks the winner when the spin ends.
When to use it
Use it to pick a student to answer, choose a giveaway winner, decide who pays, pick where to eat, or settle any group decision fairly.
Benefits
- Edit entries on the fly
- Smooth animated spin
- Up to 40+ entries supported
- No signup, works offline
Example
Drop 30 student names in the list, spin once per question — every kid gets a fair chance with no teacher bias.
Frequently asked questions
- Is the spin truly random?
- Yes — each spin uses Math.random() to choose a final angle, so every entry has an equal chance.
- Can I save my list?
- Currently the list lives in the page only. Refreshing resets the default list — copy your list elsewhere if you need to keep it.
- How many entries can I add?
- Around 40 entries display cleanly. More will work but text may overlap.
